Why a signal is withheld

A withheld row is a posted offer the product will not put a recommendation on. It keeps its line, its projection and its probability, and it carries a flag naming the reason. Nothing is deleted, because an offer you cannot act on is still part of the market you are researching.

Blocks

A block withholds the row. These are the ones you will meet most often, printed with these labels:

• Below the posted price: the model's own probability does not clear what this price needs to break even.
• Below the recommendation floor: the edge at this line is under the measured floor the product requires.
• Model prefers the other side: the app sells only the side the model likes less, and no published price pays for taking it.
• Sharp market prices this against us: a sportsbook reference at the same line disagrees with the model in the wrong direction.
• Near certain outcome: the probability is so high that the row is a lock rather than an edge, and the question becomes the payout rather than the gap.
• Probabilities unreliable here: this market's graded record both underperforms and claims more than it has realized.
• Availability unverified or Side not sold: no feed states which sides this app actually sells for this offer, so it cannot carry a recommendation.
• Game already started: the event began, so the offer is closed.

Cautions

A caution does not withhold the row. It tells you what to weigh before trusting it.

• No meaningful edge and Edge within simulation noise: the difference is too small to separate from sampling error.
• Market comparison sits at a different line: the reference and the posted offer are not the same offer.
• High variance: the distribution is wide relative to the line.
• Thin sample: the player's measured history is short.
• Stale line: the posted line has not refreshed recently, against a threshold set per sport.
• Lineup not posted and Model overconfident here: availability or the market's record qualifies the number.

Information flags

Some flags neither block nor caution. Goblin, reduced payout and Demon, boosted payout name the product type. No sharp reference says why the market column is empty. Single book says one app posted this line.

Inventory stays visible

Withheld rows are grouped away from the opportunity sections so they never compete for attention, and they are excluded from alerts and from new Slip Lab legs. They remain readable, searchable and linkable, which is what makes an empty board honest rather than broken.
