Getting started with Slateline

Slateline is a research product. It simulates a game, projects each player's stat line, and puts that projection next to the lines player prop apps are actually posting. It never places a wager and it never accepts one.

The Signal Board

The Signal Board is the first screen worth opening. It lists today's posted offers for the sport you have selected, each with the model's projection, the probability the model gives the published side, and a grade that ranks it against the rest of the board.

Rows are grouped into sections. Opportunities are offers the guardrails cleared. Withheld rows stay on the page with the reason printed on them, because a line the product will not recommend is still information about the market.

What a signal is

• One player, one market, one posted line, on one app.
• A projection from that sport's simulation engine, with a distribution behind it rather than a single number.
• A probability for the side the app actually sells, conditioned on the leg being decided rather than voided.
• A verdict: recommended, or withheld with a named reason.

The sport selector

The selector at the top of the app switches every screen to another sport. Each sport carries its own engine, its own markets and its own honest status. Live means real posted lines and nightly grading. A season gated sport has a built engine waiting for its season. A data gated sport has a built engine waiting on a data source the product does not yet have.

Filters, searches and the selected row are scoped to the sport you are on, so switching sports never leaves an invisible filter behind that empties the board.
